- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Michael W. Malone -- Wordy and Full of Errors : This is one of the worst books I've read in 2021. It is full of errors. He constantly uses "Alter" when he is referring to an "Altar." There are an abundance of other errors. For example, "In the evening they wandered in a crowded market, drank BEAR in one of the bars ..." Was this book proofread? The book is wordy and went on forever and ever. The relationship between the Archaeologist and his assistant is childish. Since I bought the book, I pressed forward to the end and wondered when it would end. And given his inability to find a proofreader, I don't trust his knowledge of history. Save yourself some time, pass up this one and find a good book. I would have given five stars except for a multitude of spelling errors, different font size inside a paragraph, repeated phrases, and most appalling, the spelling of altar as alter throughout the book.
